After successfully litigating in a large firm
environment for a decade, Joseph Gibley and Kelly McWilliams founded
Gibley and McWilliams to implement their shared philosophy that each
client’s interests are of paramount importance. Gibley and
McWilliams is a boutique firm committed to providing exceptional
service to its insurance clients and their policyholders.
The experienced attorneys of Gibley and McWilliams
have a wealth of trial experience in the Federal and State Courts of
Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The attorneys at the firm are admitted
to and have successfully defended cases in the State Courts of
Philadelphia, Bucks, Montgomery, Delaware, Chester, Berks, Lehigh,
Luzerne, Monroe, Northampton, York and Lancaster Counties as well
as the United States District Courtboth the Eastern and Middle
Districts of Pennsylvania.
The Firm’s appellate advocacy
experience includes appearances before the Pennsylvania Superior
Court, The United States District Court for the Eastern District of
Pennsylvania and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third
Circuit.
On April 25, 2007, The Philadelphia Bar lost a valued practitioner, Daniel T. McWilliams. In his more than thirty years of practice, Mr. McWilliams tried countless matters to verdict in virtually every area of civil law. In addition to his practice, Mr. McWilliams also served the interests of justice by serving as an arbitrator and a Judge Pro Tem in the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas. His passing was mourned by the legal community in which he practiced.
Mr. McWilliams’s passing was personal to Gibley and McWilliams. In addition to being the father of founding partner, Kelly McWilliams, Dan had been Of Counsel to the Firm since was it was formed. During those years, Dan helped the Firm’s attorneys with trial preparation and strategy evaluation. An invaluable resource available to the Firm, Dan’s extensive experience prepared Gibley and McWilliams’ attorneys for every expectation and contingency at trial. Kelly and Joe are pleased to be able to impart Dan’s wisdom and experience to the next generation of Gibley and McWilliams’ Trial Lawyers.
